Museum Info: Hours / Cost

The Children’s Museum of the Lowcountry (CML) is Charleston’s first hands-on, interactive learning facility built just for children and their families!

The museum is located in historic downtown Charleston, at 25 Ann Street, directly behind the Visitor and Information Center.

Since opening on September 21, 2003, the museum has served more than 250,000 visitors from across the country.  When you visit CML, you can explore, play, discover, learn and create in any of the eight exhibits—begin your adventure by exploring our exhibits online by clicking here.

The mission of the Children’s Museum of the Lowcountry is to spark the love of learning in all children.  Through interactive, interdisciplinary, hands-on environments and experiences with the arts, sciences and humanities, children will develop creative thinking and problem solving skills, and a belief in their own potential.
